I’ve visited this garden several times and each time it looks completely different. If you love a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, Descanso is perfect for you.
Meander through the rose garden with picturesque gazebos, watch turtles leisurely bask in the sun, or stroll from the Japanese garden to the Oak Forest. Descanso has plenty to satisfy a plant lover’s heart.
You can explore the entire garden in about an hour or two. There are water fountains located throughout the park. Also, check for art installations and exhibits at the Stuart Haaga Gallery. During the holidays, Descanso holds an amazing Christmas light experience. There’s also a mini railroad; perfect for children and families to explore the grounds.
